Chocolate Chip Cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 cup softened unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup (packed) light brown sugar
1/2 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
2 large egg (room temperature)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 salt
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups chopped dark or semi-sweet chocolate
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F and prep a baking sheet with parchment.
Cream together butter and sugar with a hand or stand mixer for a minute. Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together and mix in.
Add the chocolate chunks and mix well.
Roll 1 1/2-inch balls of dough and place on the cookie sheets. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before baking.
Bake for 9 minutes, then immediately top with maldon sea salt and cool on a wire rack for two minutes.
TIPS
I highly recommend taking the extra step to chop your own chocolate chunks!
