House of BUtter
I started House of Butter in NYC in 2018 to celebrate and explore all things butter! It was founded with the belief that butter is more than just the un/salted blocks you see at the store - and that we can enjoy rich, flavorful butter varieties to enhance any meal.
Now in Zurich, my mission is to spread the love of butter through teaching culinary workshops, delivering gourmet treats and sharing some of my favorite family recipes.
From shanghai to NYC to Zurich
I love traveling and exploring, and have lived in the USA, UK, China and now Switzerland. Most recently, I spent 10 years in NYC where I worked in financial services. After several years I was a ready for a change, and in 2020, my husband and I moved to Zurich for a new adventure!
MY CREDENTIALS
I earned my MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, and specialized in Marketing and Strategy. Shortly after moving to Switzerland, I attended culinary school at the Cesar Ritz School in Le Bouveret and achieved my Certificate of Culinary Arts Essentials.
Food safety is my number one priority. In addition to my culinary training, I have my Food Protection Certificate from New York State — a designation required for all restaurant operations professionals and chefs. As such, I take extra precautions to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen space for my in-person classes and food deliveries.
As a lifelong pescatarian, I’m also happy to work within any dietary restrictions or requests — feel free to contact me and just ask!
